Catnook

Terms of use

Last updated 8 October 2026

These terms apply to the Catnook app, made by Clariva (“we”). By using Catnook you agree to them. They sit alongside the terms of the store you downloaded it from (Google Play or the App Store); if the two disagree about a purchase, the store’s terms win.

Using Catnook

Catnook is free to use. You may use it for your own, non-commercial purposes. Please don’t copy, reverse-engineer or resell the app, or try to interfere with our server or with other people’s accounts.

Your account

An account is optional and exists only to back up your progress. You sign in with Google or Apple, and you are responsible for keeping that account secure. You can delete your Catnook account at any time; see how.

Catnook Pro

Fish, items and cats

Fish are earned by focusing and are spent in the app on items and cats. They have no cash value: they can’t be bought or sold for money, transferred, or exchanged, and they exist only inside Catnook.

Backup

We work hard to keep backups safe, and we keep encrypted copies of them, but cloud backup is provided as it is and we can’t promise it will never fail.

Changes and availability

We may change, add or remove features over time. If we change these terms, we’ll update the date at the top of this page; if the change is significant, we’ll let you know in the app.

Liability

Catnook is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from using the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be limited.
